Let me start off by saying I never leave reviews. We arrived and checked in with our 5th wheel. They booked us a grass site with no gravel on an extremely narrow road. Therefore we had to move sites and pay an additional $100 dollars due to the new site being a premium site. Which was at the very end of the campground furthest away from the pool area. Due to the distance we decided to rent a golf cart. All carts were reserved for the month. As far as the amenities: the pool is below average, splash pad is the highlight of the camp ground, putt putt is fun, bounces houses are fine. THERE IS NO AQUA PARK and the beach is closed due to algae. Forget about playing gel blasters as there is no rules about playing and the unsupervised kids will play until the guns are dead. The premium site was fine overall but the price ($150) for the amenities that can actually be utilized does not correlate.
Cabin we rented had a torn couch, screen door basically falling apart, mattresses on the beds were straight springs a solid 3 inches thick. Counter tops were barely cleaned there was food from the last people on it. The park itself was okay. No trash can in the arcade so there's trash sitting all over. Basketball court has tons of empty bottles and juice boxes laying around at 8am meaning no one cleans that up. Beach was dirty and needed cleaned. Water in the water park was literally freezing I didn't even bother taking my toddler to it. I did not see 1 adult working all young kids. For the price of this place it should be much cleaner. We will not do a cabin again luckily we brought our own clorox wipes and duct tape so we could try fix up the place. When the bear comes around they were in golf cart going so fast the kids barely had time to run up.
This was our first time bringing our little one camping. We were all so excited. We chose a cabin because having a little one would just be hard to camp in a tent and we knew it would be warmer. Well the first night it became below 60 and the heater in the cabin in every room did NOT work. With all blankets we brought was still beyond freezing. Not to mention the whole time we were not notified that the stores and arcade and what not would be closed so couldn't even take her to shop there. We had to leave early because of the nights being so cold and when I emailed about what was going on NOBODY responded. Not a very good experience for our little ones first time camping especially with everything being closed.
We’ve been coming for 14 years and love this place. For the love of god please fix the water park cannon for next year! Haven’t been able to enjoy the best part the water park in forever. ice cream stand is hardly ever open which is a bummer. Lots of trash I see, maybe have employees throw it out and put up no littering signs especially around the lake.
Our cabin was nice, clean upon arrival. The coffee pot hadn't been cleaned by the previous people & the screen on the door kept coming out no matter how many times we fixed it but overall it was good.
There were many things to do but they should tell you at check-in to arrive early if it involves buying a kit. We wanted to do the pearl necklace but they were sold out before the event even started so we couldn't do that. The Rec center says it's open from 10 am to 6pm but when we went to buy our gem stone kit there was a person there but she said she didn't work there so she couldn't help us. We had to keep going back until we found someone there that could help us. We also wanted to paint ceramics but again no one around to help. They should sell these items at their general store. The store ran out of ice and was out the 4 days we were there (the closest place to get any was 20 minutes away). Their general store doesn't carry any food so he prepared, although they do have souvenirs and accessories for the pool.
Also don't wait to book a golf cart if you need one as they don't have nearly enough for the amount of camp sites.
We were excited to hear it was under new management, as it went downhill fast after Jackie left about 7-8 years back. They got brand new, beautiful cabins in the spring, but let me tell you they were absolutely TRASHED and FILTHY in such a …
It’s in the middle of nowhere, so bring what you need because the closest Walmart and Top’s is 20 minutes away and is very expensive. …
We stayed for 2 nights for my son's 3rd birthday. This place struck us as a place that was once amazing, but is now in disrepair. Many things in the waterpark are unsafe, exposed screws, peeling flooring is a trip hazard, for example. …
